Our Story

Stillhouse Closet Co. was created to make well-built, thoughtfully designed storage more accessible, without losing the craftsmanship that defines custom work. Built on the foundation of Hitchcock Woodworking, a second-generation custom woodworking shop based in Enfield, New Hampshire, Stillhouse brings decades of hands-on experience into a more focused, efficient offering.

Over the years, we saw a growing need for storage solutions that balance quality, design, and cost. While fully custom cabinetry has its place, not every home, or budget, calls for a ground-up, one-off build. Stillhouse was launched to bridge that gap: delivering clean, intentional storage systems built by the same craftspeople, using the same standards of care, but designed for efficiency and repeatability.

By focusing specifically on closets, organization, and utility spaces, we’re able to streamline design, materials, and production. The result is a product that feels custom where it matters most, comes together on a shorter timeline, and fits a wider range of budgets, without sacrificing durability or attention to detail.

Whether the solution is simple and efficient or more tailored to the space, our goal remains the same: create storage that works quietly in the background of everyday life, built with the experience and craftsmanship that comes from a real woodworking shop.
